Biography
Jarryd has a background in statistics and is currently a PhD student in the Department of Econometrics and Business Statistics at Monash University. He has an interest in the spatio-temporal distributions of extreme weather events and the development of machine learning methods to accurately model risks associated with climate extremes. Jarryd's honours research was focused on modelling the temporal clustering of extreme rainfall events in Eastern Australia.
