Biography
Hello there! My name is Man Lim. I am a MPhil student at University of New South Wales supervised by Tracy Ainsworth and Sarah Perkins-Kirkpatrick. I am researching into the impact of marine heatwaves on the coral populations on Norfolk Island. In recent years, the coral reef and coral systems on the southern lagoonal reef of Norfolk Island are facing a change to algal-dominance system due to climate change. These systems are scarcely studied, and the high latitudes of these reefs suggest that they have a potential to even become a refugia to other tropical
species of corals. It is my interest to study these systems and report the impacts observed on Norfolk Island:) Fun fact: I was an aircraft engineer before I started my voyage into marine science!
