Biography

Aditya is a curious student and Linux enthusiast, currently pursuing a PhD in Atmospheric Science at the University of Melbourne. He completed his B.Sc. (Honors) in Physics from Amity University and M.Sc. in Atmospheric Sciences from the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela in India. His Master’s thesis was focused on understanding the seasonal variations in the dynamic and thermodynamic drivers of precipitation extremes over the Indian subcontinent. His main areas of research interest include the study of climate extremes, climate variability and study of dynamic changes in weather and climate systems due to climate change. The aim of his PhD research is to understand the changes in the role of various climate drivers and their teleconnections with global and regional climates under net-zero and negative carbon emission scenarios in future climate model projections.
